I have heard a song called "I've Been Loving You" by Wednesday on a
Canadian radio station more than once lately. It is a cover of Elton's
song. I searched on the internet and found no references to a musician
named Wednesday. Does anyone know about this?

By the way, I think "I've Been Loving You" is one of the few songs
where Elton wrote all the lyrics to the song.

You mean this song?

Not one of Elton's best, IMO. And you're right, according to the Rare
Masters booklet, Elton wrote the lyrics. Taupin was credited because
they had worked together so much that Elton wanted Bernie to benefit if
the song took off.

Glad to know it is at youtube so others can hear it. The cover version
is not much different than Elton's version so not very creative. They
titled it "Loving You Baby" and took out the "I've".
